You Reap What You Sow

Hello, beautiful people!

If you were raised in a Christian home or have been around a Christian ever in your life I'm sure  you have heard it said "You're gonna reap what you sow." Saying it was always of course meant for the bad people that didn't live up to the judgmental religious person's expectations. I may or may not have said the exact same thing a time or two myself. I ain't saying I did, but I ain't saying I didn't.

But enough about me, this is about you. 

Genesis 6:7-10 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the hold of faith.

This scripture is mainly talking about good deeds but it applies to all aspects of giving. I don't want to focus on the wrong thing here, but could we focus for a moment on a portion of verse 10? "As we have opportunity"

If you are going to walk in true freedom you have to understand the words "as we have opportunity" These words are as critical to you as the PIN number is to your ATM card. You can put all the money in the world in a bank, in your name, and it can actually be your money. But honey, walk up to an ATM without your PIN number and you ain't getting a dime. You can have your debit card in your hand with your picture on it, but if you forget your pin number - even Jesus can't unlock your account.

Think of "as we have opportunity" as your personal PIN number. It's going to unlock your faith, your finances and your freedom. God gives us His word as a blueprint to show us what our future is going to look like. It's up to us to follow the blueprint and make it manifest. If you were building a , once you pick out your land you have a set of blueprints drawn up so you can see what the is going to look like before you build it. When Jesus went to the cross, He took back the land that Adam gave to the enemy, and then Jesus gave dominion of it over to you.

Do you think that God would give such specific instructions to Noah but let your life have no plan at all? No! God made sure you had a blueprint. It's the Bible.

Now here is where everything changes for you. I'm going to start reading those blueprints for you. Believe me when I say I have my Doctorate in reading biblical blueprints.I am the living epitome of it.

You know what I discovered? The may change but the structure is the same. You may change the layout, but you're still going to have a foundation, walls and a roof. Christ is the only way to the father, but getting to Christ can happen in many different ways. 

In my divine wisdom that was inspired by the Holy Ghost, I know that you have a need right now.  I will even go on to say that you have  prayed about it with no real plan of how that need is going to be met. So you run around telling people that you are believing for it. (I could go on for days about that one, but it's a subject for another time.)

Starting today you are going to change all of that.

Honey, we are going to throw that mess out like it's old fish grease, and you know how bad that smells.

So where do you start? Here are a couple of things you need to do to make sure your  has a strong foundation.

 STOP BELIEVING! It ain't happening and it ain't gonna happen. Believing is like saying one day I'm going to quit eating Krispy Kreme doughnuts or one day I'm going to start doing planks everyday. We both know we ain't doing that. Ever. Ever ever.

But from this day forward this is what you are going to start saying instead.

I'm expecting.

Expecting? Yes, expecting. When a woman gets pregnant, she isn't believing for a baby. She's expecting a baby.  When you are expecting a baby you are given a due date. You don't know the exact day the baby will be born, but you know it's coming some time close to your due date by at least a week or two.

So here's how you are going to get pregnant with promise and purpose:

I want you to write down your immediate need. Get real. No fake mess. God in heaven knows you want to get closer to Him, so you can stop asking for that, believe me you are there. What I am talking about is that thing you cry over, worry about and talk about all the time. Bankruptcy, foreclosures or repossessions. You know the real problems you've got going on. Let's start there. Write down what you need God to do for you right now, today. It may be a payment, a car loan, light bill, anything that is due or past due.

You may have so many that you don't know where to start. That's ok. Just write them all down. Then I want you to get in a quiet place and lay hands on that piece of paper and ask God what your immediate need is. By immediate need, I mean the thing that you need to address first. It will be the thing that you just can't get past until it's met.

When I did this I was shocked by what my immediate need was. God had to settle in me that I would never be homeless. I couldn't even think about a car payment or a light bill. Once that need was satisfied in my Spirit I could move forward.  

One more thing, beautiful people. Stop worrying, God has this and God has you.
