Freedom

With the 4th of July coming up, I've been thinking this week about freedom.

Of course you're blessed to live in a free country, but there's a higher level of freedom too. Nothing compares to the freedom that God gives when He takes you out of the bondage of sin. He sets you free from the slavery you are under because of the control the enemy has over your life.

But then...

God goes one step further...

He gives you the power to do the same things that Jesus did as you preach the good news to the poor.

And just as it's important to protect your freedom on earth, you have to stay vigilant against the things in the spirit that would try to take your freedom away from you.

Luke 4:18-19

 18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; 19 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”

You don't have to live within the constraints this world's system has on you neither do you have to live under the constraints the enemy places on you. 

You have to know the word of God along with the voice of God. 

Why? 

Because, just as you read in His word, you have been anointed to preach the gospel to the poor. He has sent you to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed and to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.

Today decide you are no longer a slave to sin (unbelief) but you are a child of God. I want you to be determined to be set free, healed and delivered. 

Walk in the fullness of the freedom God offers. Sure you will have struggles otherwise you wouldn't need God. However, your struggles don't have to keep you bound. 

God is faithful to deliver you in your times of trouble.

Your job is to ask for the deliverance and then obey God's instructions.

Yes the American flag stands for Freedom.

But as a Christian, the Bible holds the power for true freedom and the authority of Jesus gives that freedom to you.  

You have the power to stop the enemy...

...all you have to do is open your mouth.

 Freedom always begins with a prayer. 

 Father, you have anointed me as your voice, your hands and your feet. Let me love the people you send me too. Lord, give me the boldness to say what I hear you say, the courage to do what I see you do and the humility to reach the lost without judgement. Thank you father for sending your son to set me free. 

 I declare that I walk in your deliverance power in every area of my life. 

God, establish your kingdom here on earth as it is in heaven.
